Need advice for fixing my kid's bike

My son bumped his bike to a wall and then he noticed the front wheel can't rotate freely. I took a look and notice the brake's always on the wheel, that's why it couldn't move. Anyway, I tried to adjust the brake tightness with a wrench and unfortunately I over did it...... and broke the central piece as shown on the photo........ I wonder if it can be fixed and how much. I paid only $80 for the bike when it was on sale, hopefully it won't cost half of the bike to fix it............

Thanks in advance for any help.

See if you have a cyclepath near you bring the old part in and they should have a replacement.
Couple bucks and you'll be on your way.
