Need help finding firmware for HD.... ;-(

so im trying to copy iso files to disk & its giving me error messages like disk is not big enough...there is no disk in drive...etc. My hard drive in this PC is not recognizing dvds. So i have a pretty old external drive that i just plugged in, so how do i update the firmware? My OS is win 10.

Looks like there isn’t any firmware for the drive other than v1.06 which is what I’m assuming was on there.

As for drivers, there shouldn’t be anything to install for basic functionality of the drive. What kind of discs are you trying to burn?

I'm confused, are you trying to burn the ISO files to a blank DVD disk?
or do you mean your desktop PC is not recognizing the portable Plextor PX-B310U when it's plugged in?

What size is the ISO file? And what disc are you using? What size does it say on the disc?

Yes, the iso file is webrip file...37KB trying to copy/burn to a dvd-r disk. my desktop wont recognize the dvd so i plugged in the plextor & am having issues with that.... i right click on the drive, put a dvd-r in & it says...there is no disk in drive..please use writable disk. Have you tried different DVDs or just one? Could be a defective one. Especially if you tried it on your desktop's drive, as well as the plextor.
Also try using canned air to blow into the drive to clear the dust.

37KB?... something is off with the setup. What software are you trying to use to "burn" the iso? If the file of interest is that small you might as well email it to yourself.

Imgburn was a popular burning software thats fairly flexible.

thanks for the info... i actually got it to work with the plexor drive. Smiling Face With Open Mouth i used Aiseesoft dvd creator....took me 4 trys.

i was using Clone dvd with no success.

im going to TRY to figure out why my PC is not recognizng dvds.
