Need a New PC For Home Recording

I need a new PC primarily for home audio recording.

Here are the minimum specs I've been recommended:
i7 CPU 4th gen
16GB Ram
256G SSD
2TB HD
Windows Pro 64 bit

My budget is $1000.

Any suggestions or feedback?

Currently looking at refurbished PC's on best buy.

There's an Armour i-004 on sale right now but it has no standard hard drive. Could this be added? Could I just use an external hard drive?

What does this mean?

SSD 500GB M.2 NVME
Hard Drive Bay 2
Hard Drive Capacity None

Does it mean the computer has 2 hard drive slots and comes with 1 or it has 2 slots but the current hard drive uses both?

You got a 500GB NVME SSD. This will be fitted on the motherboard.

This case supports 2 hard drive bays, I'm assuming it should fit either 2.5 or 3.5 inch drives either SSD or HDD, but it doesn't fully state that. NVME drives don't occupy this so they're empty.

The hard drive capacity is stated as none because you're not getting a mechanical hard drive.

Looks like the case is a Thermaltake Versa H17. It has 2X USB2.0 and 1 X USB3.0 ports on the top of the case. On the back side, the motherboard appears to have 4X USB3.0 and 2 X USB 2.0 ports ( at least from the pictures on the site).

The 4770 is 7.5 years old. Don't waste your time with the old junk.

You were recommended an i7? What kind of audio are you doing?

Nothing fancy. Typical rock music.

If I wanted to add 8gb more RAM and a 2TB+ HD to that computer, any recommendations?
Just have CC add a matching RAM chip and a HDD.
