*This is specific to original style pods*

If you are buying Nespresso branded the pods are like $0.72-$0.90 per pod.

You can buy the third party ones (I have tried Starbucks ones [UK purchased], Trader Joes [USA purchased], PC branded [Superstore]) and they work out to be $0.40 - $0.60 a pod.

When I had K-cup before it was a lot cheaper as there are more options out there. With that being to said I am in 'love' with my Nespresso and before I was only in 'like' with my Keurig.

Edit - I have also had these before https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07G9WSBH5 and they are nice (they also sell at Walmart)

PC ones are - https://www.realcanadiansuperstore.ca/F ... 0905206_EA
The machine on sale is Vertuo. Not the same capsules.

I am 95% sure that this is the Evoluo at Best Buy, but they don't have it titled correctly. Looks identical to the one I picked up at CT and has the exact same marketing videos attached.

yes, the one with flat top is Evoluo. It is the best Vertuo model to get.
I love it so far for coffee drinks.
for espresso, it is too "foamy" (not exactly crema). I kept my Starbucks Verismo machine for that.

If anyone is interested, I have a BNIB VertuoPlus Deluxe bundle from The Bay that I won’t keep. Paid $178 plus tax. I’m in the GTA. PM me.

Where are such outlet stores? $0.40 is amazing.

Close to me is a chain called ECS who deals in all those brands (Nespresso, Kcups, etc)

I have the Virtuo Plus with the frother and it's the best in terms of quality and convenience. However, as many have pointed out, the pods are expensive. Seems people are comparing the Original Line prices versus Keurig and that's a mistake since it does depend on which Nespresso machine you buy. What I tend to do is buy from Amazon when they have sales on Keurig and VirtuoLine pods and the prices are approximately DOUBLE and most are TRIPLE or more. Of course that depends on what you buy. For instance, the Starbucks Keurig Pike Place is selling 24 pods for $19.97 or $0.83 each. Whereas the Nespresso Vertuoline Coffee Capsules Assortment is selling 30 pods for $79.85 or $2.66 each. What's more the Keurig pods have a tendency to go on sale much more often and with bigger discounts.

It's not uncommon for the lower quality Keurig K-Cups to sell for 33 cents per pod, which is 8 times the price, so it obviously depends on how much you value your cup of java.

Like many other people I am also looking for a sale on the VirtouLine pods. At $2.66 per pod it does give pause since it's about the same price as going into a Starbucks.

For anyone on the fence I tried my Vertuoplus today and I am surprised at the amount of juice coming out! I had a big cup and I was scared it was going to overflow! You might think the capsules are expensive but you are getting a Starbucks/Second cup level latte. Very impressive. Easily going for 5$+.

Wait until they do promos like free cups when you buy capsules and it's worth it. Their stuff look so nice and high quality, you feel like a star.

What are you talking about? The most expensive is 1.20$ the rest is 1.10$ directly from Nespresso. Lungo 0.95$ and espresso 0.85$.

As I stated, I am comparing prices on Amazon since that's where I buy them. I don't buy from Nesspresso directly because either you pay for shipping or you have to buy 150 pods.

Then you are overpaying for no reason. Amazon is not an authorized dealer, that's why it's so expensive. Nespresso just had a free shipping promo this week. Wait for the next one.

They also have the vertuo deluxe version in Decodecouverte for $167.99 and you get 15% off with thebay MasterCard.

Paid $142.79+tax. I think worth the $14 extra from the non deluxe version.

Best deal so far for these machines!

If you buy a brand new machine Nespresso will give you up to 250 free pods for it (based on size of your order)
I'm trying to find more information on this right here. I don't see it on their site anywhere.

Edit; Only offer on my account is a discovery offer of like 180 capsules for 180 bucks plus some free mugs.

I have the Evoluo and I don’t find it hot enough. Workaround is to run the machine once with an old capsule to help “pre-heat” it.

Lastly there are no 3rd party capsules for the Vertuo line. The capsules have a barcode, unlike the original line.
