You can get this for around 178 at the source using their epp such as GoodLife or perkopolis.

How does this function in cold weather? Is the cloud subscription also worth it?

Also as this requires an indoor plug, do you have to drill through the wall and plug it to an inside outlet or how does it work?

Does 2 cam pack require separate subscription to iCloud access for each cam?

I have 2 of these and they work well. They ran withojt a hitch in calgary even when it was close to -30 degrees celcius.

Each camera requires a subscription. 50 dollars a yr for first and 30 for each one after for 5 days of contjnuous recording. The nest app also makes accessing your feeds easy and continuous recording is nice.

However, the plug on this requires drilling a 7/8” hole to run into the house. I routed mine on the outside of the home to a outdoor plugs.

Do they have backup batteries? For example if I buy the outdoor plug kit, what is stopping someone from just pulling the plug out?

Best Option now would be Lowes.ca

No Tax and you can use the $10 email code

2 pack = $323 @ Lowes all in vs $370+ with taxes depending on your province

There is no backup battery. They recommend a lockable outdoor outlet if u have one.

Edit: HD updated their price. Ignore.

Nest is usually excluded from no tax at Lowe’s. Also can’t combine promo codes.

Best offer would be to PM HD on the two-pack since they haven’t updated their pricing yet.

Really like Nest gear but the way they overcharge people irritates me. Super-expensive hardware paired with super-expensive subscription plans. Give us a break.

I was able to add both in the check out. Exclusions are only on Nest Ring

*edit to Nest Ring

I went to Depot today and grabbed a 2 pack. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them or not, but I have a few weeks to decide.

Thanks OP!!

Picked the 2-pack up at Lowes. The Save the Tax promo applied saving me $35. Came to 297 before tax.
