new business partner

I want to ask this here to get some brainstorming done.

I have invested in a business with 50% share.
So currently 50% for managing partner and 50% for me as sleeping partner.

Now there is another person interested in joining the business as a partner/operator.
He is bringing in some investment as well.
My current managing partner will teach him how to operate the business and all the trade secrets etc.

What is the best way to figure out his % ?

Due to privacy reasons, I will not mention the business here.

Thanks

What % of the current value of the company is the new investor bringing in?

1. business will be open longer hours and one extra day -
instead of closing at 6, we will close at 9
open 7 days/week instead of 6
2. his investment would add to the goods/inventory

It's kinda hard to guesstimate.

Cost out all the inventory, and premium you want to add with space and lease agreement.

Have a number both you and your partner are comfortable with and present it to the new shareholder.

Watch some sharktanks. :)
