Any luck on the E5550 prices? I'm interested in getting one and wondered about Dell's pricing vs. Bauer ($390).

It should be in the ballpark, but can't confirm until I get the inventory passed to me. I have been assured they are working on them today. I also have them processing plenty of other stuff as well.

I ordered one the Dell Vostro 15 3000 Series (3558) .
Is this a decent machine just for web browsing, watching video's, etc...
Upgrading from an old Dell 2520, that's getting painful for browsing, but after doing a bit of reading, I'm not too sure about the Vostro.
Would an E5550 be a better pick that would last me longer?

Any opinions would be appreciated.
thanks!

Looks like they got them loaded. They should be indexed, and become visible, within the next 10-15 mins. Grade A should be around $335, after the discount.

So are they all gone? I never even saw one.

Ah, now I see them. However, unlike pre-BF, there are no 1080 screens and ssd models. Were there any, or did they sell?

Thanks
Few months ago I had bought one tablet & it came with keyboard (having second/extended battery in it). So yes, it comes with keyboard.

I don't see any with SSD or with FHD displays. Looks like another couple may get posted tomorrow, but they are also 500Gb SATA HD and HD display, and Grade B cosmetic.

Consider ordering one from Bauer (http://forums.redflagdeals.com/bauer-sy ... e-2167072/). They have quite a few that are FHD touch screen with 128SSD. Priced at $390 makes them very competitive with Dell Refurbished.

I need a 15 inch laptop, and the E5550 with 1080 screen sold on Dell Refurb before the sale. At the moment I have my eye on this E5550 i7 Touch through refurbio on ebay for $504 incl shipping. It less expensive than the store (why is that?). E5550

On the Bauer website I would consider line 188 (E5550 with touch for $390) and replace the 128 ssd with a 500gb one, but I'm wondering if an i5 5300u is long in the tooth, and therefore worth the $100 for the refurbio i7 (benchmarks look similar).

I would appreciate some advice, or something else on Bauer. I keep showing laptops to my wife (an editor), and she keeps saying the screen is not bright enough (new E580, for ex, or the Swift 3). If I don't get one soon I'm just going to LD and getting the Asus S 530 for $869, which is at the top end of limit.

Saw that too. If I’m buying new I would get 8th gen. Also RFDers have noted the dim display. Dell reviewers happier with screen brightness.

Just go XPS or customized P52s or X1 to get brighter screens.

You can't go wrong with an XPS, I love mine! I may have mentioned this before :)

Totally ideal for my purposes, but well beyond my price range ($1000 absolute limit). Not sure where they turn up used from a reputable place.

We got the odd one through now and then, but they are rare.

Hi John - ordered yesterday morning and have not heard about shipping - isn't it 1 day delivery?
