New(ish) homeowner question: gas bill was ~$50 for April, ~$80 in May - what gives?

New(ish) homeowner question: gas bill was ~$50 for April, ~$80 in May - what gives?

Not sure what happened since we shut off the central heat (not furnace because of water heater) mid May. Not sure how an increase happens even... did we use more hot water maybe? I dunno. I figured at this time bills would stay the same or go even lower. Has anyone else had experiences like this?

Enbridge estimates one month and reads the next. Check you bills for this.

Try submitting your meter readings monthly for accuracy.
