New Winter Tires, Get New Steel Rims or Use Old One?

I'm planning on getting new winter tires since the ones I have now are almost 8 years old. I think it's a good time to change them. However the steel rims on my current winter tires are showing signs of rust. I plan on keeping the car for another few years so I'm worried the rusted rims aren't as strong as before. Should I get new steel rims with my new winter tires or should I just continue to use them?

If they are easy to properly balance I would reuse the old ones for sure. New wheels will look like crap after 1 season anyways. You can always spray on some paint of the rust bothers you.

I don't have any pictures, but it's similar to the rust build up in this picture.

x2. Spray them with some Tremclad rust paint and you're good to go.
