The Quad Core Router is ¥549 = CAD$106.58

I would say it's warm or better deal.

Reviews on Amazon say even with full price, it is definitely very worth buy.

Don't need an AP, but this a pretty good price for the tech.

Real question though, is does it support custom firmware....

The hardware may be good - but in a router, its mostly about the software.

Thanks OP. I want to upgrade my router for long time but Wi-Fi 6 routers are just so pricy.

Finally pulled the trigger.

This would be the first home router sold in Canada, they do make enterprise routers/switches and APs, a lot of airports, stadiums, malls use their APs and enterprise network.

This is one of the best looking routers out there, performance should be good but the only legitimate concern is enough software and firmware updates. Huawei is not as great on software as TP-Link.

This is the only brand name wifi 6 router with sub $100 price tag and decent performance (see reviews). I wouldn't complain if you want to pay more for stuff with inflated prices.

Thanks for the bashing, I have bought quite a few on-sale huawei products, like brand new p30 for less $200, phone with amazing performance that I wouldn't buy in the past.

I have the Pro version and I believe it is worth the price difference (quad core processing). Lots of reviews around. I'm pleased as a wifi6 secondary router for my VR set.

My company was the one of Nortel supplier, once we were told they would buy whatever the volume we could produce. From there I knew they were not managing well.
