[Newegg] Asrock B450-M Pro4 R.2.0 : $95 - $15MIR + Free Shipping (Shell Shocker Deal)

Not an all-time low (that was during Black Friday), but still a good price, even without the much-despised mail-in rebate.

Considered Tier A quality on the AM4 motherboard list:

Just consider Asrock rebates like going to the casino! 🤣 If you get rebate, you win big. If rebate gets rejected, you just lost big. Face With Stuck-out Tongue And Winking Eye

This is 4 year old mobo. Was checking my receipts and this is what I paid in 2019 - 94.99 + MIR. Though I think it was a $20 MIR at the time

The technology is mature, and wouldn't call it "old". Then again, that's to be expected from such a long-lasting socket (AM4).
Doesn't mean it's outdated or obsolete - unless you're one of those who absolutely have to have the latest-generation stuff, prices be damned.

As for prices, who knows? After all the crap we've seen in the past couple of years, who's to say what's a good price anymore?

Maybe, but then this is not a Hot Deal. Specially when B550 mobos go for cheaper.

The consumer decides wether the product is value for money. In this case I feel it is not even a luke warm deal

while I have gotten all my asrock rebates, I agree the time they give to mail the rebate is almost unrealistic, I remember it was like within 7 or 10 days of purchase, that included the time it took to ship and receive the item, you would’ve had to mail it right after receiving the item or else it would be outside of their time window

If you read the details it says if it arrives late causing you to miss the cutoff then provide the tracking number and printout of the delivery date.

I had to do this in December due to all the delays caused by snow.

During COVID, I was short on toilet paper, so I would clip MIRs to help clean up down there.

Most value I've ever extracted from a MIR.

It may be worthwhile to wait for the B550M to go on sale if you can wait. Based on the above listing the B550M Pro4 is top tier 's'. It's been on sale for a slightly higher price and based on PCPartPicker's price history the sale came in periodically for the past year. I picked mine up for $110 + $8 shipping + tax - $30 rebate (if your lucky enough to get it).

Bought this around BF for $80 with 30 rebate. It came with the latest firmware and worked with the Ryzen 5600G. Rebate status shows DONE and cheque will be mailed at the end of this month.

Thank you!
You're absolutely right.
Now THAT is quality contribution to the discussion - as opposed to rambling about MIRs or just trolling.
Mind you, the B550M cuts some horrible corners, too. That missing WiFi module is too damn obvious, and there's no digital audio output - or motherboard pinout for such an adapter.

Any reasons to buy a B450M instead of a B550M? Older CPUs?
