[Newegg] ASRock DESKMINI X300W AMD X300 1 x HDMI Barebone System 225$ shipped then -30$ rebate form

nice mini pc, description is out of date, it can support amd 5000 APU series

I got one a few months ago, running 5600g and 32 gig of so-dimm ram (yes so-dimm, i nearly missed that and nearly bought wrong ram)

this a barebone pc, what you get is case, powerbar, motherboard, wifi module with antenna and heatsink for the cpu

So it needs a CPU and laptop RAM and it's a full PC?
PC: i9 9900ks, RTX 3060 Ti 8gb, 64gb RAM
Phone: iPhone 8 64gb

Does it come with BIOS upgraded to support 4600G/5600G? I bought one earlier with my 3200G. I am debating getting one more to replace my old 110 (2 of them) as they won't be supporting Windows 11 due to the 6th/7th gen Intel CPU

Neat! I did not know about this one, seems to be a slightly larger NUC but with desktop CPU support.

Wonder how large and what wattage the power brick is. My little NUC11 is dwarfed by the 120W power brick lol.

Yes. Only thing is you cannot add a video card, you're limited by the integrated graphics of whatever xxxxG chip you go with.

Is there any room inside to fit a SATA SSD? I know it supports an M.2 NVME on the motherboard but I don't really want to buy new storage since I recently purchased the SATA drive

And FYI, this used to be sold for as low as $165, months ago, if I'm not mistaken.

Don't think so. I remember it was about the same price (or $5 more) but with free shipping and that would be the lowest ever.

Yeah, after the rebate. As mentioned in OP.

And, of course, after rebate pricing is a bit misleading because you pay HST on the pre-rebate price.

I find it odd that Newegg.ca's page doen't list suitable APUs under "Products related to this item".
