I'd say it's at least warm, it's currently the best price for an 8GB 580 you can get today.

I've seen these 8gb 580's go for $229 a couple of times recently but they always sell out quick at that price of course...

The price of these cards will crash hard in a few weeks.

This is because the GTX 1660 ti will be released at 350CDN around Feb 15 which should be about 30% faster than a GTX 1060/rx 580. There will also be an GTX 1660 around 10% faster than these cards around the 250-280CDN range which will be around the speed of a RX 590. This will cause the pricing of the RX 590 to fall to around 250-280 which will in turn cause the RX 580 8gb to sell for under 200.

This is pretty much confirmed as there are leaks from the actual presentation and slides being shown. With most if not all of the GTX 1060/1070/1080/1080 ti depleted, Nvidia can start releasing cards with better price to performance than their last gen without hurting their old stock sales too much.

If you want a bargain on an RX 580/570, wait a few weeks. I would not be surprised to see $150CDN RX 570s and in turn used cards for even cheaper.

Perfect timing, i was in the market for a low to mid-tier gpu and the 1660 may be what i go for. Not sure if I should go even lower and get a past-gen card. Are the Canadian prices confirmed?

I have had horrible customer support with one of their motherboards. Never again. They sent the wrong parts and then ignored me when I reopened my ticket. Garbage.

Not confirmed yet, but pretty close to it.

Pricing makes sense considering the performance gap between it and the RTX 2060.

We might get an additional 20 dollars added to the price considering the state of our dollar but this close to launch and with presentations being made to certain members of the press already, the info is pretty solid at this point.

That's not true anymore. Asrock and its parent company spun off from asus a while back. I'm surprised asrock is making graphics cards though but I guess that's the natural progression for them expanding.
