[Newegg] Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 | 14" 120Hz QHD | R9 5900HS | RTX 3060 85W | 32GB | 1TB SSD (2700-500 = 2200)

Use promo code SAVENEGG375.

This has no webcam. This is the top spec G14 with 32GB ram and anime matrix lid. The only other competitor in this 14" category is the Razer Blade 14, which caps at 16GB ram, but better graphics options with 3070/3080.

1. BestBuy has g14 for 1899, the only difference is 16G ram vs. 32G. So it's 300 dollars for 16G more RAM depending on your needs.

2. Zephyrus G16 is coming soon! BestBuy has listed it very recently but it is not stocked yet. So if you are looking for a larger versatile and powerful laptop and think G16 gives you the best value ( especially thinking that XPS17 costs 3k5+ lmao ), just sit tight for it instead of downsizing to 14 or 15 which both have a huge frame to the bottom of the screen. And not having to drive to Buffalo or Seattle once the border reopens for the best laptop model that Canada always cannot have is absolutely the best news I can expect.

I ordered the Lenovo Legion 7 with a 3070 but it won't ship until Nov., are there comparative reviews between the two?

I had both the regular {grey} and the white one and you missed a few things:
1. The regular G14 is 1080P, the white one is 1440P.
2. The regular G14's response time (NOT refresh rate - stupid me!) is WAAY slower than the white one. Like, the white's screen response is snappy. Closer to my (current) G15 over the grey G14. Honestly, the grey G14 screen is disappointing!
3. (more of an observation): For some odd reason, the 32GB ram seemed to bump the overall perceived performance, especially when using the integrated graphics (to save battery).
4. The white has *NO* fingerprints.... HUGE difference! Trust me. It's just so much nicer.
5. Let's not forget the Anime-Matrix bling to kill your battery. :) Actually, it's kinda cool and can be used for certain notifications.

Forgot what else, but those are some things I remember. The white one is WAY worth it over the grey, even for that extra $300 IMHO. The difference in screen and the white / silver material alone makes up for it.
This should be the real price of this thing, as the MSRP is stupid... like you can get a 3070 Razer Blade 14 for $100 more than that.... dumb! The 3060 version of the Blade 14 is a waste though.... too bad. Screen is crap (same screen as regular G14)
(3070 blade is cheaper at Microsoft for $2669.99 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/d/razer ... verviewtab )

**OH YEAH!!***
That M16 that Best Buy listed aint all that great in comparison to the existing G15. The biggest attraction (the screen) is no better as it's 1080P+ vs. 1440P of the G15. That's probably appropriate for the 3060, tbh, but it has less overall real estate even at 16:10 than the current G15. The US Best Buy has the proper 1440P+ version. Dunno why we get the shaft here.... sigh. Asus!

Legion 7 is better in almost every way (thermals, performance, etc)... but it is HEAVY! And there's a big question on battery life.
I also think it looks better, but that's subjective... oh, and all those lights ... nice! :)

I am such a dumbass, I meant screen response, not refresh.... OOPS! ANyhow, regular G14 has some serious GHOSTING, but the white one is so much better! Like, the UFO test on that thing is similar to my G15... super nice!

Check out the regular G14 at best buy. Open a browser and and go to https://www.testufo.com/ (on the top right dropdown, select ghosting / pursuit cam) and look how bad it is! Like, wow bad!

I'm not familiar with Lenovo legion's international version. Their china version ( R9000 series) is arguably the laptop of the year for both quality and the unbeatable price. But I think its competitor is ROG's strix product line rather than zephyrus. Zephyrus is not a pure gaming laptop and you will pay unnecessarily extra money for features that you don't need for gameplay.

lol weird, why doesn't the microsoft store link you listed for the blade 14 list its GPU? only has the CPU details. For those interested in buying from them, it'd be a nasty surprise if it comes with the 3060 instead of the 3070 they thought they're buying

oh thanks so much for the correction. I didn't even know the blinking light was continued on 2021's products until taking a deep look at the page. And yeah it's really cool. taking that ( and all the rest ) into consideration 300 bucks is definitely worth it.

I'm cool by a 1080p 16' screen but I don't like Asus's strategy either. It makes customers really confused and moreover given these product lines naturally won't sell too much, a such diversified configs will make a logistic nightmare.

blazer's 3070's TGP is 95W and I remember I saw a few benchmark ranks that said that 95W 3070 won't outperforms too much ( if any ) over 130W's 3060 like ROG Strix's or leveno legion's. But yeah the TGP of Zephyrus's 3060 is also 95w so blazer still has the advantage.

LOL! Click on the tech specs tab and you'll see 3070 is clearly listed. Also, there are only 3 SKU's and the 3060 version is 1080P.

Terrible deal, Dell had one for 1700 with a 3070 115 Watt so why would anyone want to get this?

I have the G14 Zephyrus: it's very quiet even under load. I'm not into super ultra photo realism though, frame rate is more important to me, and its great. Don't take my word for it though, there are lots of positive reviews.
There is no god. But it still feels good to be kind to people, animals, and the environment, so keep doing that.

Size (14" vs 15.6"), weight (0.7kg less than dell), battery life (12 vs 5 hours), build quality. Though if all you care for is the performance, then yes the dell was a great deal. There are many people that appreciate a smaller option.

Like the G15, we (Canada) will probably be stuck with the 3060 model for a LOOOOONG time! Sigh, and this SKU has a FHD+ screen :(. USA gets QHD+ but slightly more expensive.
I guess FHD+ is okay for a 3060 though....

Oh yeah, looks like more and more places have the M16. Looks like Canada Computers even has it instore at a few locations:

Are you referring to the Zephyrus or Strix? (Seriously, Asus is the master of confusion)
Well, if Zephyrus, BB and Costco had the 3060 were seemingly refreshing stock on Mondays or Wednesday each week that lasted a few hours, up until about a month ago.
Since then, I haven't seen any stock. The expensive white version seems to pop up more often now.
