[Newegg] Beyerdynamic Amiron Home Wired Open back headphones (53% off) - 439.99 (SOLD OUT NOW)

I just got these, the deal was too insane to spare.

These are ...critically a 600-700$ value . paid 507$ all in with the 9.99$ shipping. if u dont like them, return them. If u do, they're basically end game. If you see profit opportunity, i guage, it's red hot here

Holy smokes! I would buy this in a heart beat if I didn't already own the T1 gen 2.

Nice, just picked one up. I used to have a pair of Beyerdynamic T90's and they were heavenly. So comfortable and the sound quality was amazing. By far my favourite set of headphones.

Is this worth an 'upgrade' over the HD 6xx/600? It seems to me the sound signature is mostly the same, while these have a very clear edge in comfort and build quality. I can appreciate that diminishing returns are at play here, but I'm personally reluctant to drop this money over my HD 6xx. I also have another pair, Meze 99 Noir, for more fun, closed back, engaging, and bassy listening. So I'm tempted but also already very happy with my current setup.

Same concern! Have the HD 6XX with a balanced 4pin. Do I need to get a balanced cable to get the full oomph?

It's a downgrade from the HD6XX in my opinion. The HD6XX are better up through the mid range and treble, plus they have better dynamics.

These look like a great deal. At 250 ohms you will need a headphone amp to Get the most out of these. The newegg pictures look like it has an amp with it but it doesn’t say anything in the description, nor at the beyerdynamic website. So, not the best headphones to lug around with just a cell phone driving them. The wireless ones, on the other hand, are 32 ohms.

As far as comparing these to other headphones - the only real way is to listen. I love the Senn HD6xx. I’ve owned a bunch of cans. I would be so tempted to buy these if I wasn’t so heavily invested in other audio. Lol.

For headphone amps, they can vary in price. I have heard good things about Schiit audio and they can be had for $100 usd. https://www.schiit.com/products/magni-1

Rega makes good stuff too.

Though why stop there... get a small integrated amp with a good headphone amp.

https://www.ayreborn.com/collections/ho ... -amplifier

Then get a good set of bookshelf speakers...

Then... be me. *sigh*
