[Newegg] Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Over-Ear Headphones $131 W/FS OOS

Newegg has these well regarded Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Over-Ear Headphones for $131 after a 40% off code 1011CANFE23, with free shipping. Not sure when this expires.
Seems to be the 80 ohm version.

Awesome deal. I have the 250ohm version and they are hands down the best headphones in their price range

hot price for those that were able to snag a pair, i got one from the amazon sale and have been using them at the office - closed for some isolation and minimal leakage, super comfortable for full day usage and fits well even with glasses on

Thanks for posting OP, managed to snag a pair. Excited to see how they stack up against the Sennheiser 598 CS - anyone else out there own both of these?

The 80 ohm version will not be well driven by a cell phone, or anything not specifically designed to act as a headphone amplifier. It will likely feel like there is no bass at all, and no life in the music.

Without an amp, the 250 ohm version will sound horrendous and is basically unlistenable.

When you get any version of the DT770s or similar, make sure you listen to a 150Hz recording for a few minutes to ensure you aren't affected by "Grattle" (https://www.google.com/search?lr=&hl=en&q=DT770+Grattle)

If you are affected, just RMA them immediately - it's probably a manufacturing defect and not a hair or stray piece of dust. Don't waste your time trying to take them apart to clean / fix them until your "item arrived damaged" period is gone.

i had both but not concurrently, picked up the 598 cs but ended up returning it - grabbed the dt770 afterwards. 0 regrets i think you'll be pleased
