MSI GTX 970 - $409.99

Newegg.ca has a ShellShocker for the MSI GTX 970. I assume this is for today only or for a few hours only. There is a $10 MIR and $10 Shipping so they effectively cancel each other out.

Canada Computers had this card for the same price this past weekend and they also had the $10 MIR. So the newegg.ca deal is $10 more. However, CC doesn't have any stock in the GTA (plus, their price has gone back up). NCIX doesn't seem to have stock either. So even if there is a flash/weekend sale, you may not be able to buy it.

the windforce 3x gtx 970 that ncix had for $369 yesterday was a better deal imo.

It was. But that was yesterday. :) Plus, that card won't fit in most mini-ITX cases.

Pretty good deal! The MSI card is pretty much the next go-to choice if the gigabyte card is too long.
When given enough time, all threads on RFD can and will go off on a tangent.

Warm deal, good overclocker.

The Gigabyte G1 is a better card but the MSI 4G is still one of the better 970 models.

I got this card last year at $429 and love it. Solid gpu even with the 3.5/0.5 issue.

Thanks OP.

Don't forget cashback. It helps soften the blow(not much) from missing yesterday's deal

Price hasn't come down yet on the 970's? Got the MSI GTX 970 Gaming card for $409 back in November.

Shocked.

Why are you shocked? Unless the Canadian dollar rallies or the new AMD 300 series GPUs are massive improvements, there will be no pressure on NVIDIA to adjust prices. We saw this with the 7xx cards.

That's was before our dollar dropped like 18 cents. 409 today probably represents a 50 or 60 dollar discount over prices in november. Anything below 400 for a 970 is about as good as it's going to get till the new amd's come out.
