Not bad. Note that it's the 2014 model, not the recent 2016 one. Also Amazon sells this model for $120 with shipping, so it's closer to 38% off for a refurbished product.

I thought all mechanical keyboards make tons of noise. If there's mechanical that are silent let me know because I want one! Mine is loud as hell lol.

The 2014 might actually be preferable to the 2016 - see here.

Corsair has a keyboard with Cherry MX Silent keys, which are a relatively new product. It's call the Corsair Strafe RGB - MX Silent. Definitely not completely silent, but much better than other switches.

there are different types of switches.
so any red or black switches keyboard will be fine.

Anandtech did a great write-up on the actual switches Razer uses - see here.

TL;DR Razer actually sources their mechanical keyboard switches from a Chinese company, Kaihua Electronics, rather than from Cherry Corporation who are traditionally the most common source; despite marketing hype - differences are almost non-existent.

Here's that marketing hype:

Quoted wrong guy?

btw: i'm a Razer fan, i know all those info, that's why i always prefer 2013 model which is cherry switches.

Also, stealth edition is quieter and there is a Keyboard Accessory that can makes Blackwidow more noiseless.

Anyone had any problems with these versions ? Got two blackwidow and both had the same issues, the keys start to doubletap or not at all, getting worst and worst overtime, you can clean them but it take a while and only last a few days.
