[Newegg] Intel Core i9-9900k Processor, $509.99 + $4.99 Shipping + 1% Rakuten [HOT!]

You don't get a fancy dodecahedron box, but it's cheaper than Memory Express @ 529.99 that was posted a couple of days ago.

This CPU is somewhat on par with the newest i7-10700k (in gaming at least), but if you already have a z370/z390 motherboard, then this is a pretty nice upgrade. Don't forget to BST your old processor!

EDIT: If you buy locally from Memory Express and PM Newegg it works out to be $507.99 + tax. Just got my PM refund during lunch and used it to buy a nice meal.

1% rakuten as well, which basically covers the shipping cost.

Might as well just try to PM ME for a lower price if you are able to purchase it locally.

Looks like Intel is just stocking cores and overclocking their old architecture year upon year. These chips run hot as hell and even Apple is turning away from them. It is the beginning of the end for them

They f'ed up by being extremely complacent in thinking that there would be no other competition in the cpu market that could possibly topple them.

Isn't Tiger Lake a mobile part though? The 14nm++++ Rocket Lake desktop part is expected to launch near the end of the year.

I'm long confused by all the intel lakes. But does Tiger lake have desktop CPUs? 65w and 95w tdp parts?

That's what I thought, only mobile low tdp parts.

They're all just Sky Lake, relabled with more or less cores and more or less core frequency, With the exception of Ice Lake/Tiger Lake, which are a new core but they can't get them to clock very high so only use them in Ultrabooks.

This is only really a good deal if you already have the compatible motherboard. Otherwise you've better off with a Ryzen 3000 series. You can get similar performance for less.

Amen, Thank god for competition and for AMD for hanging in there, wasn't really a fan of amd in the past but now I'm gonna use their cpu's for my future pc build

They got so lazy/content, even broke their own Moore's law.
