[Newegg] LSI MegaRAID LSI00295 (9266-8i SGL) - $229.99

Great add-on if you want to build your own NAS.

This card is wonderful for harddrives (RAID 6 or so),
and it used to cost around 300 to 400 on discount. (unless you compare to what you may get from ebay which maybe unsafe and used.)
I bought it a month ago at $315 and thought that was a steal.
At $230 CAD for brand new card, it is a no-brainer.

Repped just because seeing LSI and MegaRAID makes me smile and reminisce. Good deal on the card for sure. Raid 6 is the way to go.

I actually have a bunch of servers to use as Nas, that I need to sell.
Dl380 g7s, Lenovo rd640s that take 8lff bought for Nas servers never used NIB. Few 4tb drives never used install in em as well.

2 x SFF-8087 mini-SAS Internal Connectors

Be sure to order some mini sas to SATA cables and your good to go as there are no SATA connectors on this card

Should really use the RD640 they are awesome units. I barely ever get any service calls on them the odd HDD failure now and then that seems to be it

They're amazing I agree. I bought two one for each site and to replicate etc. Just don't need them anymore, got out of that and a year later just got a synology Nas (yes nowhere near as powerful or useful). I gotta put them on kijiji or something.

Good deal, but I am looking for a 16i and there is no profit if you are still running 92xx with DDR2 and traditional HDDs!
