[Newegg] MSI GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G 6GB 192-Bit GDDR5 ($344.99 + 9.99 shipping +tx - 15$ MIR)

MSI GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G 6GB 192-Bit GDDR5 HDCP Ready ATX Video Card

- use 1121CANBF77 promo code for $30 off
- use manufacture rebate for $15 off
- sign up for premiere for free shipping or pickup from richmond hill warehouse = no shipping cost

brings the total to $374.99 - 30 = $344.99 + tax --> 389.84 - $15 MIR = $374.84

is this a good deal? I think im going to go ahead and purchase this now and if something better comes along for black friday, just do a return on this card.

edit: thanks to apf888 for clarifying the pricing

Why do people keep using MIR in their calculations? You only get those rebates few months later.
Also picking it up from warehouse doesn't give you further discount on the card itself, you just don't pay for shipping.
So basically the price is 345+tax -mir.

You can complain about it every couple days or accept it. A rebate lowers the cost. Not complicated. Thanks.

Although it's a decent price, it's not the right price being written in the title. It makes relative comparison hard when the info is wrong/inaccurate.

Subject would've been something like "[Newegg] MSI GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G 6GB 192-Bit GDDR5 Video Card ($345 + 9.99 shipping +tx - 15$ MIR)"

Deal here as presented:
(374.99$ for the unit) - (30$ coupon 1121CANBF77) = 344.99$ before tax and shipping.
344.99 + 9.99 shipping = 354.98 + 15% tax (for those of you in HST provinces) = 408.23 after tax.
408.23 - "15$" MIR = 393.23$

Effective price: 393.23 / 1.15 = 341.93$ before taxes inclusive of shipping assuming that;
1. You got your MIR (which is usually a cash card now, not a cheque), and
2. You used the cash card completely before it expired.

Also, the MIR costs you 1.50$ to do, since there is a cost for stamp, envelope and the printout. I've done tons of MIRs but it's really annoying when they issue cash cards:
1. The cards expire relatively quickly (except for AMEX, most expire in 3-6 months depending on the issuer...),
2. They can't be used for online transactions (manual swipe with signature only),
3. It forces you to spend money to recover the funds (this tends to be hard when you're using it in places which don't use the entire limit all at once or don't accept split payments).

Very easy to forget to use it. Whenever you get one of those cards, make sure you use it completely right away.

Meanwhile. there was a ZOTAC GTX 1060 unit going for 359.99 - 25$ IR coupon code = 334.99$ + 9.99$ shipping: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6814500403
(334.99 + 9.99) * 1.15 = 396.72.

Not quite the same level as MSI, but zero risk of getting screwed over by an MIR (ex: "incomplete info", "lost" in the mail, rebate account ran out of funds, etc.).
