[Newegg] Newegg Black Friday pricing on 1TB Samsung 970 EVO plus $179.99

I believe this is what Samsung promoted during Black Friday last year. $179 after promo code CSSD2ZZA28A.
One day only deal. Happy shopping boys!

Good deal! I am heading to buy the Samsung instead. Better product by performance and endurance.

It is the same price as WD SN750 1TB $179.99 at Amazon.

Darn.. Wish I didn't get the WD BLACK few days ago.. Prefer this. Thanks OP.

Looks like SSD price drop trends to come.. Could use a 2TB or 3TB..

For warranty, you have to go back to where you buy from to get warranty. Samsung do not handle warranty replacement for SSD in Canada.

I had one 2.5" (with 5-yr warranty) bought from Newegg 3 years ago and recently just died. Contacted Samsung and they told me to contact the place to get the warranty replacement from. End up I called Newegg. They replaced for me right away.

Ordered it from staples yesterday with $199 with a filler to get $200-15 coupon, they refuse to price beat though.

If you’re storing 2 TB, you should probably look into a NAS to properly backup your stuff anyways.

500GB or less on your local PC is more than enough imo.

Such a risk storing tons of data on a single SSD

Thanks, ordered this off Amazon yesterday for $199 ($209 taxes in). Was able to cancel and order from newegg instead for $188 taxes in.

dell article

I had considered this ...recall that the NVME standard installed on a system that accept m.2 standard but is not set up to accept the NVME standard will throttle the read/writes of the ssd. I have a dell 9360 xps...it can take this drive but you will not get full performance. Seems like a great drive however.

For most users it is. But if you edit 4K videos and install a few games on your machine, it doesn't take long to get past 1TB. My Steam folder alone is 410GB.
