Tempting, but this only comes with a 2 year warranty.
The K and Z coolers come with a 6 year warranty.

I found that Memory Express has a sale on the X53 and X63 coolers $159.98-$169.98

I've used these in system builds that I need to last longer than 2 years and they work great.

I think I'm going with an Air Cooler like the Cooler Master M824 rather than an AIO which seem to have a reliability risk I just don't really want to have.

NZXT's product page lists the same model number as the Amazon page and indicates a 6 year warranty.

I've wanted a kraken cooler for a while; I think I'm going for it.

Dumb one here. What is the difference in temperature or which is better? Noice and cooling?

they work about the same, but this one has a LCD screen that shows your temperature or any animated graphics you want to display. Only useful if your PC has a glass window

This is so tempting but still rocking my Noctua d15.
It's ugly and takes up most of my PC case but they are super reliable.

Same boat as you. Used to run an AIO cooler too but switched to D15 for the reliability. Haven't had issues for the past 5+ years besides having to look for a case that fits it with my newer build. Hard to justify replacing it

Be careful. The Amazon posting may say 6 years, but it could be for a different product variation in that item for sale.
NZXT only offers 6 year warranties on the X and K (from the NZXT website warranty section).

This link to the Newegg site correctly also only offers a 2 year warranty.

I used to have an AIO, but I switched to an air cooler.

In my opinion, most systems can manage well with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE as their CPU cooler. The money saved can be spent on something else.

Personally, I wouldn't spend over $150 on a CPU cooler. I'd rather put that money towards a better GPU or another upgrade.

If your PC case can fits air cooler PA120, then go to PA120 instead because much cheaper and the performance is close

I have no idea what the Amazon posting says. My comment said that NZXT's website lists a 6-year warranty for this model, and it does. You can find it under tech specs at the bottom; you can also find it in the product's manual available for download on the same page. The website specifically cites 'RL-KR28E' in both white and black - which is the model in question at both Amazon and Newegg. If there ends up being any question, NZXT lists the warranty by UPC code, but a quick search of those codes seems to suggest they don't make have multiple SKUs (or vendor-specific SKUs) for this product.

Except that's not what NZXT says. I don't think Newegg has this one right; regardless I'd recommend ordering from Amazon over Newegg - if it's not what I expect it'll be simpler to return.

Not sure why there's a difference in the warranty offered through the link you referenced compared to the warranty I saw listed on the NZXT site and elsewhere.

I was actually looking at this unit last week (it was on sale) and when I followed through on the warranty last week and today, I saw that it had a 2 year warranty.
That's why I referenced the NZXT warranty listed on their website, to see if and why there was such a difference.

Ok, looking further, I found a warranty article that was updated within the past month and it confirms the 6 year warranty for all Kraken water coolers (Does not apply to the Kraken 120 or M22 AIO Liquid Coolers, which have a 3 year warranty).

Sorry for the confusion.
