[Newegg] Obihai obi200 ATA - $56.49 (incl. EHF) + 3% ebates + free shipping

I have been eyeing the Obi200 for the past week, it was on sale for $69 just I was going to buy it today I saw a further discount and currently it's on sale for $54.99 + 3% cashback from ebates. I hunted for any possible coupon code but couldn't find any. If anyone has newegg canada coupon to make this deal even better please let us know.

Thanks, just bought a 202 from them for $99. Will get price match. Shipping on the 202 was coming up as $5.99 for me.

It's a shame they are still so expensive and so rare on the used market (but that's understandable, why would you want to sell it?), but this is a good deal.

Thanks for sharing OP.

What's the cheapest service to pair with this device, that includes getting a phone number?

I have been using Freephoneline.ca along with Google Hangouts (i.e. - outbound calls only) with this. Think FPL is now charging around $90 for a line (one time fee) plus around $25 if you want to port in an existing phone number. I've been using this combo for over 2 years and enjoying having no phone bill.

Thanks! Have been waiting for a sale! Freephoneline used to be around $50, but at $90, I think it's still worth it.

Yes it's worth it. I have been using magicjack all these years but they have made many numbers like calling card, conference numbers etc as premium numbers recently. I recently renewed MJ for 3 yrs but glad I was less than a month since renewal so i was able to get a full refund.

Ya, I feel like I paid around $50 or so plus the porting fee when I did it a few years ago. Even so, $55 for the Obi plus $90 for FPL plus $25 port out fee equals a one time payment of $170 and then no more bills. If you're with Telus/Bell etc for your phone, you can probably break even in well under a year compared to your current bills.

I switched to FPL for $50 7 years ago and have been more than happier. FPL and Google Voice work well on Obi devices.

VoIP.ms works well for me. It is extremely cheap and the service, in my opinion, is better than FPL. Also, the porting was $15, not sure what it is now.

VoIP.ms = less $$$ upfront.
FPL probably cheaper in the long run.

I'm very satisfied with VoIP.ms been with them for almost 8 years.

voip.ms is not that cheap, whith recurrent DID and 911 costs (around 6-7 USD per month for a Value line). But with an OBi, you can subscribe to Anveo for $5 US a month all-in. Only problem is that voip.ms is a Canadian company while Anveo is from the USA.

But in any case, FPL would become cheaper within 24 months.
