[Newegg] [Boxing Day] Oculus Quest 2 (128 GB) - $399 + $30 GC

Warm deal compared to the Black Friday deal, but $30 GC is better than nothing. $5.99 shipping it appears. If you have a friend/referral you can also get $30 from that until 12/31.

Not sure if Best Buy or Walmart would price match a GC promo or not.

Back in late November, Amazon sold the same unit for $399.99 and had a $70 Amazon promotional credit. amazon-ca-oculus-quest-2-get-70-amazon- ... t-2504424/

The Amazon credit is to expire in late January but the value is larger and already I used 50 bucks of the credit.

Unless you really want this Oculus 2 now, a better deal may be coming later.

Agreed with Growler on this.

That said, if you aren’t the sort of person that likes to wait etc, then I should say that the Quest has been awesome.

Connects to my PC wirelessly pretty easily, and Half Life Alyx is genuinely one of the most memorable gaming experiences I’ve ever had. It’s currently 50% off too.

I’m always tempted because it looks like a nice product. We don’t have any alternative like this (wireless and independent unit) with good quality yet I think?

I was going to ask and didn't read all 33 pages in other thread but sure some of you would know.

1. Meta said they were dropping Facebook account requirement. Has that happened yet?

2. For Amazon purchases ( I bought the quest on amazon ) , I can't find the balance from the $70 gift card. I know it's there as I spent $30 and it came in at 0$ owing.

I think oculus is a great product run by terrible people. Recently they discontinue support for a lot of apps like alt VR for oculus GO users. There is really no good reason to do it other than to upgrade your oculus to a more current gen. During a time when the pandemic is causing tons of anxiety meeting new people and for some that are lonely with using something like to escape reality and converse with others, the pull the plug. In fact they pulled the plug Dec 4, right before the holidays thinking they would get conversions to the newer platform when all they have done is alienate a good chunk of their user base. I have always despised Facebook or Meta ot whatever garbage name they want to disguise under but stuff like this is something they should be embarrassed about. I would never sink another penny in oculus while it’s part of FB/meta/next BS name

Great for VR 'movies. It's also amazing how your brain fills in the missing non audio-visual 'interactivity'.

I'm the OP from the original $70 off the Quest 2 thread. :)

It did.

This was the first promotion they did (around June)
Oculus Quest 2 64GB $329.99

best-buy-oculus-quest-2-64gb-329-99-2472926/

Then they phase out 64gb

Then they did

It's an Amazon promotional credit, not a gift card (Both this time, and on Black Friday). Amazon promotional credits can only be viewed on checkout, and they can expire (Ex the black friday ones do in January I think). Also for others reading. If you buy something with an Amazon promo credit and return or refund the item, you lose these credits. You don't get them back. Other examples of Amazon promo credits include the coupon clips, but those are different as they only apply to specific products (And can also only be viewed on checkout). Or the promo credit you would have gotten for using Amazon photos, also the same thing etc.
