[Newegg] OnePlus 7 Pro 8GB RAM 256GB ROM - 796$ (duties included, 3rd party seller)

Noticed that a third party seller from HK is selling the OnePlus 7 Pro 8GB 256GB in mirror grey for considerably less on NewEgg. (Newegg handles the customer service, price in Canadian dollars and warranty is shown as 1 year.)

Only 5% tax and duties are included (no AliExpress duties lottery.) Express shipping is only about 15$ more. All in all, savings of approx 240$ depending on shipping.

Sidenote : I'll take the 600$+ savings on this phone over the Note 10+ ;)

Edit : I have received the phone! Seller can be trusted, it is NOT a scam. The phone is brand new and comes with a North American two prong charger and OxygenOS has been flashed on it. Therefore, it's the exact same as the phone OnePlus is selling directly in Canada but for about 23% cheaper. A travel adapter is also included for free as a gift.

Phone is beautiful. Most amazing screen I've ever seen and used. Buttery smooth operation and in-display fingerprint sensor unlocks the phone without any delay whatsoever.

Don't forget your ebates cashback of 1% (8$) : https://www.ebates.ca/newegg-canada

P.S. I'd appreciate if those who downvoted me because they thought it was a scam could change that to an upvote :)

True but your payment goes through NewEgg and you can always do a chargeback if something goes wrong. Also the price isn't unrealistically low so it doesn't raise alarm bells to me.

Thank you OP! Seems like one of those HK/China resellers on Aliexpress:

"In stock. Ships from Hong Kong. Fees for brokerage and duty included in price. Most customers receive within 4-16 days. - Sold and Shipped by Simson Store."

Price on Aliexpress is about the same ~$800 (excluding shipping). Hopefully these folks provide better tracking & ship quicker compared to Aliexpress.

Also Newegg will be processing RMA's!

"Global seller enrolled in Newegg Return Service. Newegg will be responsible for processing RMA and general customer service."

Actually the cheapest I could find on AE for the same version(8/256) is around 872$ (with a CC that charges no FX fee), no guarantee that you won't be charged duties and Aliexpress customer service is way worse.

I ordered it but haven't received it yet.

I'm supposed to get in under a week. I'll provide an update at that time.

I am assuming the changing brick is the 3-leg big ass HK standard?

It doesn't say anything about using a HK charger so I assume that it comes with a US/Canada one since they are shipping to Canada and it's a Canadian website.

The regular OnePlus 7 (non-pros) in the other AliExpress thread indicated that the charger is the 2 prongs version, not sure about the Pro.

According to Dxomark, the camera on OnePlus 7 Pro is better than the ones on Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Huawei P20 Pro...WOW!

Good price and thanked but just a note of caution that things are not going as planned for businesses in Hong Kong these days due to the protests and the Chinese government's response. I got notification from an ebay purchase that there are delays with customs and they have had to use "alternate shipping".

Truth. A lot of these phones don't even use the full potential because of software limitations.

Google pixel 2 camera hardware wasn't anything special, but the software made it amazing.

It's definitely not ALL about camera software

It is partially about that, which is why the Mi 9 has a better camera than the OP7 despite having the same sensor. The sensor is INCREDIBLY important though.
