You are nitpicking....
The scenario you described does not apply to flagship devices. Most of them use sensors from the same manufacturer ( eg sony, Samsung)....
Don't buy phones based on paper spec.....

As a Note 8 user, I was so disappointed with both Note 10 models. The smaller Note 10 is an absolute joke, and though the Note 10+ seems like a great phone, the hole punch in the display kills it for me. The OnePlus 7 Pro's display is easily the best in the market right now.

It was an easy decision for me. After tax and discount the Note 10+ is like 1500$~ but the Oneplus7 pro with its class leading display is 850$~ with express shipping. I'm literally saving 650 bucks!

OnePlus phones are all manufactured the same, regardless of where they are sold. Most overseas sellers are flashing OxygenOS, which is what you would have on the phone if you buy from OnePlus website in Canada. Some ship with HydrogenOS, which is meant for the Asian markets. It's very easy to flash OxygenOS on a device that came from factory with HydrogenOS.

Have 2 1+ phones in the house. 3 and 3+. They all working after that many years. Except the 3+ had the infamous camera problem but they fixed it free of charge. Good and frequent updates. Don't come with that many useless apps compare to Sams. However the new batch tends to be less attractive because of the premium price.
