There's 10% off on ebay.ca today...I wonder if that applies to the newegg store front.

The XPG 8200 seems like the value buy here. Can't wait to see what Black Friday brings, looking to get a 1TB and/or a 2TB NVMe SSD.

Can someone how has one of these NVMe drives tell me honestly if I should get one for my laptop? I already has a ssd sata drive, and it seems plenty fast. I dont play video games that much, i use it for mainly online poker.

Would the pro make a diff vs the evo? Would i even notice any speed diff from the sata ssd?

Not if all you do is play online poker and surf the web. You'd also need to make sure your notebook supports M.2, because not all do.

I'd not recommend buying a new SSD (to anyone) unless you need more space or you're still using a spinning rust drive.

Waste of money over a SATA SSD for your usage. You'll go from like 12 second boot times to 8 second.

Even for gaming it's IMO overrated. I've got a 970 Evo in my PC - it's definitely screaming fast, but is it honestly much faster than a PC with something like an MX300? Not noticeably!

Keep a close eye on new Corsair Force MP510 as well. Great performer and incredible value. Either just released or soon to be...
