A well rated AC1900 wireless router for a good price, $90 + $10 shipping. Also supports DD-WRT if you want a more customizable firmware.

For those looking for a new router with DD-WRT support the DIR-880L has the same CPU as the TRENDnet but more RAM and flash storage, and external antennas. I’ve purchased 2 of these refurbished units, they ship directly from D-Link Canada. They run DD-WRT great.

Well if you follow the Staples mega thread and get a $25 off $75 coupon, you can get the DIR-880L for $64.99 before taxes.

This is what I paid for it in June 2016, unit is still going strong.

I would go with a refurbished TMobile AC1900 unit from Amazon.com. It is about CAD$96 shipped. I think it would be better. You can convert to asus firmware with a bit of work.

Hi , , should I.pay extra 20 usd for new unit over refurbished? At least in the refurbished, someone has tested that it works...buying a new unit from usa and if it does not work , it will be difficult to return etc....

No luck with staples coupons. I am now considering the above suggested T mobile from usa
