I think this is a pretty good deal for 1TB SATA SSD, brand is reputable as well. Also has DRAM according to SSD Spreadsheet.

I believe Samsung is better performance, but only noticeable in NVME. For SATA it is more or less the same, since SATA bandwidth is limited.

Correct because the data transfer across SATA in the PS4 models in regards to playing/loading games is capped by the system anyways. I think consistent testing has shown it's actually "quicker" to play a game off an external drive than it is to play off the internal.

The only consistent exception to that rule is if your internal drive is an SSD.

I switched mine over a couple weeks ago as well. I actually noticed a difference in the loading times for Ghost of Tsushima when you fast travel and that game was stupidly quick already. Once I got the SSD in it was like you'd snap your finger and you'd be loaded in.

I've bought 50+ of each. No performance difference but the WD has a Toronto RMA facility for warranty vs USA for Crucial. Had 2 MX500 failures but none with the WD

thanks good price and all time low according to c c c. I was thinking of waiting for prime, but i doubt a drive of this size and caliber will drop much more.
