[Newegg] XPG/G.SKILL 16/32gb RGB DDR4 3000/3200mhz RAM deals - 119$ (16gb) - 219 (32gb)

Two pretty hot deals on DDR4 RAM at Newegg/amazon

219$ G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000: https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-32gb-288- ... 6820232750
All time low for this ram I believe. It's 229$

119$ XPG SPECTRIX D41 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200: https://www.newegg.ca/xpg-16gb-288-pin- ... 6820215324
This is also 129$ at amazon and for some reason no tax is added to the total, so it might be slightly cheaper at Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07GFJ ... Y3LN&psc=1

According to reviews and comparisons this RAM doesn't perform as well as others.

Though I am assuming for every day users they won't even notice the difference.

IS this Ryzen Compatible?

@redflagdealsguy what do you think of the D41 vs. the D10 for $20 less?

It's $20 less but 3000 vs 3200 and no RGB. No tax on either set. I have a clear case and kinda wanted the RGB, so I justified the extra $20 (as a bonus, improved performance).

I was referring to this 3200mhz kit that I got for $99 yesterday morning :) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07GVQ ... UTF8&psc=1

I wonder if it's the same RAM with a different housing?

If I want 32gb. Is it better to go with 2x16gb or 4x8gb?

It would depend on your CPU / mobo no?

It matters how many memory channels your motherboard/CPU have. If you have a Ryzen 3/5/7 or Intel i-series processor it's 2, so 2x16gb is better. If you have a Intel Extreme series processor or AMD threadripper 4x8gb is better.

So, it's a disadvantage to go 4x8gb for a ryzen 3900x? Isn't that still dual channel since all 4 slots is filled?
