dang missed it! Next year For The Summer Olympics would have been an awesome time to capitalize on this deal. I doubt they would have a sale extend to those dates right?

Booked flights today for Itami Airport, Osaka, Japan today around 3pm, for sept 10th to 22nd, $680.05 all in. Flights to Tokyo was at $1000 when I checked. My flight goes through Chicago o'hare, then Narita, and then Itami and same for return flight. Quick question, if I decide to start my Japan trip at Itami and depart Japan from Narita, thats possible right? Since it's already on the itenarary....just thinking maybe it'll be better to travel in one direction.

3 hours is enough, but ORD is massive, and lines can be super long.
We booked the flight with the 1hr 20m layover in ORD. What have I done!?

Is it on the way back from Japan?
Typically those layovers are longer to accommodate this.

I should have clarified, the only time you are expected to do this is on the way back, when leaving Canada you pre clear US customs.

got the last tokyo promo which had a layover in Washington on the way to tokyo and San Francisco on the way back, I have to say its not the best experience going thru US custom.

Looks like all flights connect through US...

Did anyone see otherwise for those who cannot enter the US boarder?

Edit: I double checked. I had exactly 2 hours and had time to spare. This was in March 2017 (ANA flight operated by United)
Did you have to re check in your luggage at O'Hare when flying from Toronto to Tokyo, or was this just on your return flight back from Japan where you had to connect at O'Hare?

1h 20m there (YYZ -> ORD -> NRT)
1h 30m back (NRT -> ORD -> YYZ)

Astonished Face

Did a quick search and luckily the time we land has a low wait time through customs. Thinking if we should just stuff everything in a carry-on on our 1h 20m layover to Japan flight.

Thanks for the clarification. Pre-clearing saves a bunch of time.

Just got a flight alert that Toronto to Osaka is $680-710 for selected dates Sept - Dec (YYZ-KIX)

I’d say Osaka is arguably cooler than Tokyo, because you can also visit Kyoto and Kobe which are nearby.

Guys! What if Trump decides to halt pay for government employees again? That'll cause chaos in US Airports.
