This isn’t like the other series where Tampa had to come back from behind. I get they went to OT in game one, but Colorado is absolutely dominating them so far. Gonna be tough for Tampa but I’m not writing them off yet.

Lehkonen's revenge!

Weird, nhl.com is still using a photo of Lehkonen in his MTL jersey.

So good to see Avs as the champions. Bonus to see the Bud-Lightning as the losers in this one.

Insider's tip: watch to see where Corey Perry goes next year and don't bet on that team.

Edit: I hadn't noticed Kucherov's little tantrum with seconds to go in the game. Not surprising from a man with such poor character. So happy to see TBL's little COVID dynasty come to an end.

Maybe bad for Tampa, but Perry has one more year with them under contract. Guess Maroon’s luck couldn’t overcome Perry.

Happy for Lehkonen… so clutch. Scores the goal to send the Avs to the finals and the goal to win the finals. Good for him, but he had to go because we resigned the better player in Armia /s

I liked Lekkie a lot but you're right that Montreal knew that he would get a pay raise and at least they got something for him.

I don't know Fiala's game that well but that sounds like a serious overpay.

Minny did OK on the return too, they're headed for salary cap hell with the buyouts

This season Fiala was over a point per game (85 points in 82 games) and a 30 goal scorer. This is the only season in his career he's been over a point per game. He's hit 20 goals 3 other times.

Seems like a lot. But players are expensive these days.

While he "only" hit 20 goals his 2 previous seasons he was on pace for 30 goals if you extended to 82 games played, so pretty solid bet as a goal scorer at this point.

Wright #1. Refreshing to see the Habs won't be blowing their first round pick this year.
When your last 5 successful 1st round picks include Guy Lafleur and Bob Gainey there's a problem.

Surprised to read the team has 14 picks this draft.

The Hughes rebuild starts tonight...
