[Niagara Falls] Winter Festival of Lights 2019 - Dec 5th to Jan 12

Be sure you explore the amazing light displays that make up the Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls, Canada. Each winter the festival captures the magic of the holiday season, so be sure to attend their brightest season yet!

The signature 8km long route travels through the beautiful landscapes of the Niagara Parks, Dufferin Islands and surrounding tourist districts to transform the city into a winter wonderland. As a treasured holiday tradition for people from around the world the Winter Festival of Lights is attended by over one million visitors each season.

The light displays include the iconic Zimmerman Fountain, fifteen three-dimensional Canadian Wildlife displays, the world’s largest Canadian-American Flag, Noah's Ark, the lights at the top of Niagara’s iconic Skylon Tower, over fifty trees in Dufferin Islands wrapped with lights and the Toronto Power Generating Station Light Show.

In addition to the breathtaking displays, the Winter Festival of Lights has several events that take place each season including Opening Ceremonies in Queen Victoria Park, weekly fireworks shows, nightly Falls Illumination, the Sparkle Lighting Awards and Niagara Falls New Year's Eve Concert.

Make it your winter tradition!

If you don't wanna drive, the $10 casino bus is great. They give you $10 free play too. Must be 19+

Also, there is a free shuttle from Fallsview Casino to Niagara Casino starting at 5pm daily.
Take the shuttle to the Niagara Casino, walk along the bridge to go to USA and you can have a pretty good view of all the lights and the lights on the Falls.
Note: There is a $1 toll to walk to USA and if you don't have change, there is a machine that breaks bills.
Walk to Seneca Casino if you have never been (there are light displays on the USA side also) and go for a free buffet.

How much do you need to spend at the casino to take the bus so they do not charge you

Can you take the bus the next day back home?

@Daf
To pay $0 for bus you have to achieve Gold status at the casino. Takes many, many sessions of betting considerable sums.

For the bus to be just $10, all you need is the free basic players card. They issue that to everyone regardless of play level .

Your return ticket is valid for up to 48hrs. Just check in at the Safeway counter located by bus bay at Fallsview to change your return time .

I have never had problems with with Safeway Tours and not playing. I have gone as many as 6 times in a row and not spent anything and nothing was ever said. Also, currently they add $10 free slot play to your card so you can use that up and at least say you played and were at the casino even if you didn't spend any additional money.

If they did give you any problems, I guess you could say you play the table games and you don't give them your card. They would probably turn around and say "next time, please give them your card even if you play table games."
