Was the thing still alive?

If it was frozen the right way, the process would have killed any parasites in the fish. Hopefully, there was no contamination afterwards.

It appears to be dead but I've left it out on the table, if it moves, I'll know!

OP, you can call them or show them the pic on your time that you pass by the area, depends on how urgent you deem this matter.
