[Nike] ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2 ($40 off) - $290

For all the serious runners, for some reason Nike’s newly released “rawdacious” Tokyo 2020 Olympics colorway for the men’s Next% 2 is selling for $290 vs the normally priced $330 these shoes go for. The women’s version is at the regular $330 price as are the older colorways. Not sure if this is a pricing mistake or for some reason just the men’s shoe is discounted.

Great shoe - I personally prefer it over the Alphafly’s and the combination of carbon plate + Pebax foam is unbeatable for half to full marathon distance.

If you absolutely need to have the Next %2, this is a good deal. Reviews suggest there isn't much difference from the next %1 though, and you can get a better deal on those sometimes since the 2s came out.

Asics doesnt make the Endorphin's...lol.

With that said, how did Saucony get away with blatantly copying the ultraboost midsole?

Not sure why I’m being downvoted for this. If you want a pebax based foam running shoe in the newest colorway in the most up to date upper, then this is a legit discount vs the regular $330 price. The Endorphin Pros are good shoes, but different foam, different shoe.

Because it's Regular price. Alphafly's were $216. Now that's hot

I upvoted you though. I'm a Nike everything runner.

It's not regular price. It's $40 off the regular price.

It's an overpriced shoe compared to similar shoes, but not outrageously so. It's also widely considered better than those competitor shoes by many elite runners.

This is absolutely a specialty item, and not for everyone, but for those people it is a good deal. If you have a marathon coming up towards the end of summer and you are a fast runner, this is a good buy. If you aren't a serious and really good long distance runner then this isn't for you.

Went to the Nike Store. Saw this shoe in a different Colorway. Very nice shoe.

If Nike CEO Saw your comment about $40 off 1 of their top shoes. Is a good deal.

They will never ever lower the price beyond $40 off

Does this shoe fit true to size or run small and narrow?

Because the technology is owned by BASF not Adidas. After Adidas exclusivity on the boost, most other shoe companies have a TPU shoe now.

I think the Vaporfly's are more for me.
Alphafly's. The foam looks thick. So it would be harder for me to jog with

I use the Tempo Next% as daily trainers, now my Vaporflys feel low stack lol and Alphafly feels more natural/usual to me now since they also have to air pods.

This being said, I feel the best is not to use these super shoes (even the tempo next) for training so when you wear them for races, you feel like you are on steroid ;)

If Adidas got away with paying BASF to hijack the tech for boost that was originally developed with Puma, pretty sure other companies can do something similar, there is a reason why all of them got several expensive lawyers on their payrolls.
