1. Make a new Nintendo account on PC, set country to Argentina.
2. Purchase games on new account via Argentina E-Shop on PC.
3. Receive codes in email instantly.
4. Make new profile on Switch, sign into new account.
5. Go to E-Shop and activate codes.
By new profile in step 4, do you mean your normal one, the new Argentina one or a third one?

You don't have to redeem it to Argentina account. The code is region-free. if you redeem it to Canadian account or other regions, they should also give you coins,I assumed.

create a new account to buy,
redeem it wherever you want.

not only do you get coins, you get coins as if you bought it full price on the Canadian eShop Smiling Face With Open Mouth

I purchased and never got an email... do I need to link my switch to the Argentina account?

I didn't get a chance to try. I'm waiting my tangerine card to do it again.

That wasn't a question, I've done it.

check your spam mailbox, check your credit card Bill or call cc company if they block the transaction.
If you see the red pop-up message it means you didn't pay successfully.

You don't need to link a "burner account", I think.

I didn't get a red pop-up message. I got an order number when I go through the Nintendo website, but no email confirmation or anything. Nothing in spam either. Bleh.

redeem an Argentina Hotline Miami Collection to Mexican account will get 122 gold coins... sounds reasonable.

The amount of coins is normally proportional to the price paid. When you redeem via code, it just assumes you paid full price for the game.

Maybe Nintendo customer service then? They speak English and you got the order confirmation number.

So if I used the Argentina store for a regular priced, $79.99 CAD game, what am I paying?

Edit: Found my own answer. $3.190.00 Argentinian Pesos is $74.95 CAD.

Ya, it's not a big enough discount to justify IMO. Too much shit can go wrong to save $5 on an $80 game.
