nintendo eshop - will it ever go on sale?

I just got a Switch from Shoppers Drug Mart Bonus redemption, and I've never had or known Switch before..

so far I got 3 physical games... physical so If ever I get tired of it, then i'll ebay or ebgames trade with something else.

However, some games i want to be digital.. is there a possible sales with Nintendo eShop (now linked to my Paypal)

im eyeying at games such as Mario Kart 8, donkey kong and maybe one other game.

FYI, Nintendo first party games are rarely on sale. Wait until Boxing Day. Sometimes they're not on sale on the 26th but a few days later (maybe up to a week later).

I have never seen Mario Kart 8 on sale (physical and digital). Probably because this game sells like hotcakes at full price. I did buy a code from somebody here on RFD for a cheaper price. He had bought the bundle that comes with Mario Kart (you may have seen it on Shoppers Drug Mart's website). You can buy some Nintendo cards for a cheaper price on Costco's website ($99 worth for $93 I think) or in store (4 x $25 cards for $90). It's not much of a discount but it's something.

I believe Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is on sale once in a while. Check again during their Boxing Day sale.

Sometime first party games go on sale for $55. It happens every so often around black friday, boxing day, in the summer during e3, etc. Maybe some other times i missed. Those are generally the only times they go on sale so just look at the prices during that time. Otherwise, no first party games rarely go on sale.
