Lego Worlds is supposed to be lego minecraft which is funny because minecraft was supposed to be digital lego

OT and not on sale but they also might like Dragon Quest Builders which is a little more focussed than minecraft with missions as well as building

Also thanks OP and 1_blue_pixel this is great...my switch is arriving tomorrow and my kids have been waiting to play lego undercover!

Based on what my 8 year old plays.

1. Lego city Undercover
2. Lego world
3. Harry Potter
4. Hero’s vs Villians
5. Ninjago

Haven’t bought any others yet. Anyone else wanna weigh in? He likes the open world format. Both world and undercover are a steal at that price IMO.

My now 8 year old cut his teeth playing lego marvel superheroes at 6 - he still puts it on and runs around NYC collecting gold bricks and buying obscure marvel characters with them ingame. If your guy likes avengers this is the game for him. Ironically it's so much better than the lego avengers game.

You cant die in the game so its fantastic and forgiving for beginners...

My kid at 4 years old watched me 100% Lego City Undercover and loved it. Now that he's 5, he's playing through the main story missions himself with a little help from me. But he is gaining the skills slowly to do most of the tasks required.

He like Lego Worlds too, I think the open ended nature of it. But I find it frustrating as the controls are difficult.

He also likes Dinosaurs, so we have played through Jurassic Park. The other Lego games I feel like he is too young for still.

My kids like the Marvel Superheroes game. I think it's fun playing as different Marvel characters. It's not much different than other Lego games. So, if they like Superheroes and Lego games, I would say go for it.

My 3 year old plays Lego city undercover and loves it. He just runs and drives around, sometimes does missions. But likes the open world nature of it.

I bought Superheros 2 one of the last times it was on sale. It's all my 5 year old wants to do now, simple enough but he loves all of the marvel characters he can try out! Definitely worth the $12 when comparing to other Switch game prices.

Bah. My son just started watching YouTube videos with Jurassic world and wants the game. If only I had a time machine. $10-15 is okay, but $50 for the game is crazy. $30 in store, but still.
