[Nintendo] Nintendo's Boxing Day deals

So, much like Black Friday, Nintendo has announced their main "Boxing Day" deals on their own website. It's early, so they don't even seem to have consensus in terms of what retailers will be carrying their suggested pricing.

Right now, things look disappointing.

Seems the deals aren't so good :-(, i remember when i get my pro controller for 49$ in walmart during boxing day. Also nintendo USA during black friday had further discount like octopath traveler for 45$ as I recall and the pokeball plus for 19$. All deals we didn't get here in Canada :-(.

So far doesn't look like it. Walmart did the Let's Go sale early ahead of BF. Not sure why they did that. Everyone keeps wishing it would come back, so hopefully.

Just saw Best Buy BD ad and it says:

With full game download of new super mario bros. U deluxe. Battery life up to 6.5 hours. Includes new super mario bros. U deluxe download. $80.00 value.

So unless this is a misprint then it is old version V1.

As per Verge:

How much better is the new switch battery?
Depending on the game that's being played, the new Switch is supposed to last between 4.5 and 9 hours compared to the original's range of 2.5 to 6.5 hours of battery life. That's a huge improvement, and one that's especially impressive considering its battery is no bigger than the one inside the original Switch.

Well, at least there's Tropical Freeze for $59.99... Might use that BB gift certificate on it.

This is the old model. Nintendo's site confirms it.

"Includes original Nintendo Switch model HAC-001. Battery performance ranges from 2.5 to 6.5 hours. For more information, see support.nintendo.com/switch/battery."

I will update my original post.

Seems like it. Though I don't have confirmation. But the box looks it. And that's the bundle with no game... Lame.

But you at least get like $40 of stuff with it, and Nintendo has put Super Mario Bros U Deluxe on sale (this past Black Friday), so knowing you're getting the better Switch should be easier to stomach.

"Save $15 on Nintendo Switch Pro Controller - $74.99"

Nintendo tax is the worst. $15 off a $90 controller. Xbox and PS controllers are $75 usually on sale for $50.

If you already have a PS4/Xbox One controller, buying a Mayflash Magic NS adapter ($24 tax in on Amazon.ca) to allow you to use them on Switch is a better option IMO. Joy Cons are garbage.
stubhub and clearly.ca suck, like really suck

I'm wondering if shoppers will have the Super Mario Bros bundle for $399 and a point redemption event? Been thinking about purchasing a switch lite but can't bring myself to spend $293.00 when another $100, the regular switch seems to be a better buy.
