[nmicrovip]$500/Refurb Asus 15.6 FHD/i5-7200U/8GB RAM/256GB SSD

Deal Link:
This is a well known ASUS refurb seller, their refurb units are usually in pristine condition.

i5-7200U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 15.6", 1920x1080, 3 left

comparing to this deal:

You are basically saving $100 to have a 7th gen CPU in exchange of 256GB SSD.

keep in mind that nmicrovip's refurbs are usually brand new as they appear to be getting stock directly from ASUS.

they also have 1 zenbook left for $50 cheaper.

I know, somehow the 8th generation CPU is so powerful

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i5-8250U-vs-Intel-i5-7200U/3042vs2865

although please do note that the 7th gen has a much higher Clockspeed:

notice that the 8th gen one is on sale for $649 at BB (shown below), so you are saving $120 ($150-shipping) for using an older gen CPU. I wouldn't worry too much about "refurb" as their units are known to be in extremely good condition.

This is the right time to buy new, as the 8th-gen CPUs are sooo nice and smooth. Comparing a dual-core 7th-gen i5 against a quad-core 8th-gen i5 isn't even close.

I bought a Dell with an octa-core i5-8500 and the thing just flies and benchmarks higher than many high-end 6th and 7th-gen quad-core i7's. If it had HT I'd be in heaven.
My last and final digital game I purchased at PSN from those Sony Devils was on November 22, 2020 - Ban that Sorny!
