Great deal. I would use this computer for gaming and upgrade to Vega next year since it will use the same power as 380X.

It's a desktop, with a desktop GPU and processor.
The desktop is not bad. Easy to upgrade from 380X to Vega. Good deal in my opinion.

Laptop is with 940m. It is okay considering 460 is hitting laptop market with better performance and low price makes this an warm deal.

I'll be that guy: Dammit, why can't they put a decent panel on these things? Who wants to drop nearly 1k (regular price) on a shit panel like that? I'd be on this like a fat kid on smarties even if it were 1600x900, but the way it is... >.< I'll grant though, otherwise, specs for $s is good.

The desktop looks like a decent deal to me. I don't think you could build it yourself at that price, and the graphics card is a bit weak vs the processor, but not excessively so.

Couple questions about the desktop:
1) does it come with 1 8gb ram stick? Just want to make sure I can upgrade it to 16 easily.
2) is there room for an SSD? If so, is there a way to transfer windows over to it? I'm guessing this doesn't come with a windows install disk.
3)can someone point me to a better gpu that would fit?

Thanks in advance :)

The resolution kills the deal for me, considering it's a refurbished laptop. It would be hot if resolution was 1920x1080.

I never shopped at NMicrovip. Anyone here had any experience with buying refurbs from them and what to watch out for? Also should I buy the extra warranty?

I bought a few routers from them, and most of them were fine. They were obviously used (scuffs & scratches) but they work. My experience with laptops has been less positive. Luckily I bought the warranty, and they ended up replacing and eventually refunding me the money.

How about desktops? Should I buy the extra warranty?

Their return policy could stand to be a lot longer for refurbished. By the time you find a real problem, the time has elapsed as what happened to a machine I bought.

Desktop is not bad if you don't mind refurb and want a prebuilt system. I tried doing a cheap build on pcpartpicker with similar components (including OS), and came up to about $830.

I have never purchased a desktop, but I would probably get the warranty if I did.
