I don't think I can eat so much potatoes. Maybe I should buy and donate half to the food bank rather than seeing it go bad.

Good price on potatoes, considering the past 5, 6, 7 buck craziness.

Watch out for bad potatoes......they start going around your kitchen beating up the other vegetables.....

IGA Coop here in NB will be $0.87 for 2lbs starting tomorow. Never seen it so cheap before. Same price for celery or 2lb of carrots. :)

That's the problem, potatoes need to be stored in a cold, dark cellar at around 10 degrees Celsius.
They will go bad quickly at room temperature, and they will also go bad (taste-wise) in the fridge (not so quickly, a week maybe).

As someone who loves yellow potatoes but hasn't done much potato purchases before, do those ever go on good deals like this?

Most likely these are older, about to go bad potatoes. That's been my experience with No frills sales on potatoes in the past

Actually you are right. We have 3 for 5 deals usually for 10lb of onions or beets :)
