While it's $500 max and limit of 10, note that the offer itself is a one time use. So you would have to buy $5,000 at one time ($500 x 10 gift cards) to hit the limit. If you bought one card today and another tomorrow you would not get any points tomorrow, since it's single use.

IIRC, the max balance you can have in your Apple ID is $2,000. The way people get around that is to buy something then return it for 'store credit' and use that plus their Apple ID balance to get something that costs more than $2,000,

The variable Apple gift cards have a limit of $500 max able to be loaded to them. I read the details to be a limit of 10 gift cards. It's an open ended way to write the offer. Had they said maximum 50,000 pts ($50 worth of points is 10% value of a $500 gift card) for the offer it would be clear. Guess the only way to test is for someone to buy a $500 gc and a $50 gc in the same transaction then report back if they got 50k or 55k points.

No, you cannot pay for gift cards using points at Loblaws (or any store that I'm aware of). Buying a $495 gift card would be foolish in this case because the points offer is per $50. If you did that you would get 45,000 pts - for the extra $5 (for an even $500 gc) you'd get 50,000 pts.
