Toronto, or at least North York, has the Ox-head for 12.78 instead.. don't see the Botan though

solid price.

My favourite go to rice for the past 2yrs. It gives me assurance that its made in the u.s.a rather than those asian ones. It better not turned out to be some chinese import and processed in the u.s because then we're all screwed. Too many horror stories online regarding fake foods/rice. Rice is a staple i think my life would be hard without. I eat rice a lot and i mean A LOT.

Wish we had the Ox Head rice here for $11.88.

This Botan brand is nowhere near the real stuff. It comes out soft and gooey. Ox Head and better brands, reason why real Chinese like it is because it comes out crispy like fresh romaine. The Botan is good for fooling the CBC/ABC crowd though.

Calrose rice costs $17 for 8Kg in No Frills in Markham, ON. Same size calrose brown rice costs $14. Product of USA. So I don't care about brands.
