That was my entire yield after painstakingly watering and weeding those things... Apparently $1 worth of effort.

Oh well. Kids had fun.

apparently onions cost around $0.10/lb to farm, so I'm sure they are doing alright.

Most of the time nobody is taking a hit. Grocery stores sell it regularly at $6, and more people buy it than you think. So when they have overstock they sell it at this price to risk them rotting. The amount they sell at $3 sales and $6 regular overrides these $1 sales, and like someone else has said, it brings people in at the same time

i've bought large potatoes at the farmer's market. big ones, as big as sweet potatoes. sweet potatoes are selling at 88 cents per lb at the food basics this week. the spuds being sold for a loonie are small to medium sized, more small than medium. same thing with the carrots

Be the freshest and tastiest potatoes you can get. It is a bit of work. Grew them for 2 years in bags and buckets. I had great potatoes but they took up a lot of room!

I don't see the ground beef deal in the flyer. I am in GTA. Which area does that offer show up?
