Are there any flavors of this that taste any good ??

I bought the mushroom version and it was terrible...

It might be ok for a base when you add a few things to it, but on it's own, none of the canned ones are very good.

This stuff has the right colour, but it's not thick at all.

It's more like a light broth.

Easy to solve if thickening is your only concern. Simply mix flour, cornstarch or other thickener with water until smooth. Then gradually whisk the mixture into the gravy.

We ate this as a kid and really liked it over vegetables and meat. Only to have some again when it was on sale. I soon realised that on canned vegetables and on overcooked meat it was passable (parents weren't the greatest cooks). Or my taste buds have matured. Not saying it isn't good to uses as a base and add things, but on its own it doesn't suit me. Good find OP.
