This isn't a thread about about people giving their views on whether or not to buy bottled water and because of plastic in the landfill. If that is the discussion they want to have, they can start a new thread.

This is a thread about water being on sale at No Frills in Ontario, 2 cases of 24pk for $3.00 starting on Thursday April 25.

The last time it was on sale I believe for $1.00 for 24 pk.

Why do people need to buy bottled water in the city? Tap water is perfectly safe to drink.
Tastes like shit.

Not all of us live in the city.
Where I live, we have hard water and require a water softener, which makes the water have a strange taste.
I normally use a filter on my tap, but bottled water is great for parties.

Thanks OP!

Water in the city is safe sure, but I for one go to my cottage every year and pump in lake water, which is not safe to drink. We use it to shower and toilets, standard stuff, but use bottled for drinking and cooking.

Like not every single person is in the city their whole lives, go outside, go camping, enjoy life and nature. And guess what when you do you'll need bottled water and this is cheap, thanks OP

I didn't know we can limit what people can and can't discuss regarding posted "deals". Part of the cost of many products isn't immediately apparent as it isn't a monetary cost and isn't borne directly by the manufacturer or the purchaser.

Did you fail high school chemistry? Ca is just calcium, do you not drink milk?

As someone who actually works in science...you are absolutely wrong here. Ca is calcium, stop acting like it's some crazy toxin.

The scientific literature has consistently demonstrated that elevated levels of calcium and magnesium in hard water is not harmful to the human body. You can hate the taste of mineral-rich water, that's fine. But don't make unfounded claims about its impact on human health.
Nope, I don't drink milk precisely for that reason, having too much of Ca in you evidently prevents your body from processing sarCasm
