Why is that nuts? It's not as if he's driving it through 8 inch snowdrifts or anything (like one of my colleagues did with his Ferrari).

if someone can afford and has the connections to get 1 of only 20 models produced:

a) i'm sure he/she is going to drive it; flaunt it; stunt it
b) if anything happens to it, i'm pretty sure he/she has the financial means to acquire another one

In the end, it's still a car. I think it's better to drive it than to keep it in a garage, like a garage queen car.
