Oaken bank transfer request disappeared

Oaken indeed has some internal issues. I'm not sure whose banking software they're using. If they've developed it all themselves, it's created a real mess in terms of efficiency. Also, most of their call centre seems to be working from their homes. All they do is resend e-mails to other employees making inquires and requests. Strange way to operate a financial institution holding a lot of people's cash and mortgages.

Oaken's favorite client is someone who just parks money there and doesn't bother them to change anything. I picture a head office with 5 employees and 10 work-from-home customer service agents that are merely call screeners and information re-routers who don't have the power to actually do anything. That's what it feels like anyway.

Oaken seems be having significant resource issues this year. My significant other went through to setup a new account and sent in all the docs. A few days later, they inquired. Oaken said they never got them. She re-sent. Several days later she received an automated response saying they'd close the application if they didn't receive the supporting docs soon.

Oaken indeed had been receiving the docs, twice in fact. The problem is that no one has been able to process receiving that e-mail on Oaken's side for the past 7-10 days. All their phones lines keep saying they are backlogged with long wait times.

After 2 weeks, Oaken still haven't processed her docs. For a financial institution, that's absolutely crazy. Of course, their attitude is that they're so successfully busy. It's like sending one fire fighter to several condo building fires, each time saying he's so incredibly busy and needed. Alternatively, we've gone with other online banks in the past without any lengthy issues.

Are these request made after-hours ?

When I made transfer during banking hours, Oaken account balance are updated right away (plus an email notification)

I made 2 transfers from external banks to Oaken around 8PM Feb 6. Both transactions did not show up on my Oaken account. I have screen shots to show both transfer were "successful". Anyway I opened an incident with Oaken.
